Yeah okay so I really suck at this blogging thing.. Oh well.

School is going great. I have a 4.0 three quarters running and I got a 1,000 dollar scholarship thingy for good grades. Woohoo! I'm taking all of my classes with my bestie Beckie, which is great because we can help each other and keep each other focused... and take turns with Chipotle trips!

Lily's doing GREAT in kindergarten. She's so stinking smart. Reading really well and making lots of friends. She still comes home exhausted but not whiny anymore. They are teaching them to write phonetically which is weird to me, but it's the way they do it now. She wrote a list for what to do in the morning yesterday:

Go potty

Wash my hands

Eat Breakfast

Get Dressed

This morning she told Logan that it's the season for peace on earth, and she thinks the house is on earth so they should stop arguing. Haha. 

Logan is THREE and such a boy. Loves cars and trucks and sports stuff. He's talking a lot and says funny things. Yesterday he couldn't get his shoes on so he said "Oh for crying out loud" :) I'm not ready for him to start school. I have to sign him up for 4K in a month! Empty nest syndrome already. Wahhh! 

Mark and I are doing great too. He just got a job promotion so his hours will change but so will his paycheck, which is great! 

Other news, I'm a total freaking gimp and managed so smack my head really hard during a family tickle fight yesterday.. and then hurt my back carrying groceries today... smart. Also, the tree is up and I can't WAIT for christmas! :) yay!

School started last week for me. I got lucky, have teachers that don't believe in massive amounts of homework! :)

Passed my entrance exams! I'm officially a college student now thank you very much! :-)

I register today, classes start in April!

My little Lily had surgery on Friday. Everything went well, she was so brave. :) I was in the operating room when she went under, that was REALLY hard. I managed not to cry until she was asleep though. She was really disoriented when she woke up, but slept the rest of the day and was much better in the morning. She's back to normal today, but still can't go to school until Thursday. Such a trooper. <3

I have appointments all week. Today with my doctor (feeling all pukey). Tomorrow with Lily's school, about her speech thing, hopefully this surgery will help but she'll probably get some speech therapy. Wednesday I have a meeting with the university to take my accuplacer test and talk about financial aid and on Thursday I register for classes! EEEK!! 40 grand seems like an awful lot of money... but I keep reminding myself it's WORTH IT!

My poor little Lily has been so sick. She's had a million ear infections and sinus infections. This last one sent us to the ER in the middle of the night for a 105 fever. :( Turns out she needs tubes in her ears and an adenoidectomy. Poor little girl. At least we have one of the best Children's hospitals very close to us. She'll have surgery in a few weeks and then a week recovery. She's already missed one week of school, but her teacher sent all of her work home for her and it's only preschool so she's not missing much. Except her friends.

I brought her to school today so she could turn in some work and see her friends again. There was a huge chorus of "Lily's here today! Lily's back! Lily's here!!" When she walked in the room which was very nice. I'm so exhausted, been up every 4 hours for the last week checking her temperature and refilling water and giving medicine. I am thankful I do not have a chronically ill child. She'll make it through this and we'll make it through surgery and she'll be better. Although, I'd glady go through it for her, she's a strong little girl.

And to whine a little it's about 1 degree outside and I have to go get her from school. I don't want to go outside I still haven't warmed up from dropping her off! Brrr!!! Logan is Mr. Slow too, so getting him in and out of the van (unbuckling the carsesat and stuff) takes FOREVER! Oh well, when it's 115 outside I'll be complaining too. I told Mark we were moving to a warmer climate and he said there are more snakes in a warmer climate. Snake bite or frost bite... what a choice.

Lily's sick AGAIN! She's been sick almost all the time since October. Good thing we're going to see an ENT on Thursday, but I'm hoping they don't find anything because I don't want them telling me she needs tubes in her ears or her adenoids out. :( Poor girl's already broken her elbow she doesn't need anything else.

Another lazy day at home today, since she's too sick to go to school. I think we'll maybe see if I can tackle laundry mountain! :) I guess that's a good goal for the day!
